“Mental health problems don’t define who you are. They are something you experience. You walk in the rain and you feel the rain, but, importantly, YOU ARE NOT THE RAIN.” — Matt Haig

Crisis Resources

From the risk of suicide to sudden shifts in mood, abusive conduct, challenges in performing daily tasks, feelings of paranoia, and a disconnection from reality, mental health crises can manifest in diverse forms.

Should you or someone you know undergo a mental health crisis, it is critical to seek support immediately.

Inpatient Services

Inpatient services are typically structured to offer a secure setting for stabilizing individuals who pose a risk to themselves or others. Admission is facilitated through emergency departments.

Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) & Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)

Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are frequently the step down from inpatient services. Both are outpatient services, but PHP is more intensive that IOP.

Residential Facilities

Residential treatment facilities provide longer term inpatient-type services. Residential facilities are useful in some situations. However, research should be done on any potential residential facility.

Counseling Options

The primary role of mental health counselors is to partner with their clients in establishing goals and formulating effective methods to address emotional challenges. They also focus on strengthening coping and communication skills, fostering self-esteem, promoting behavioral modifications, and ultimately aiming for improved mental well-being.

LGBTQ+ Resources

LGBTQIA+ counseling holds great value as it offers a secure and affirming space for individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community to navigate the distinct challenges and issues they may encounter in relation to their sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression.
